Latteria: Where Italian Tradition Meets Australian Modernity in a Timeless Social Hub
Latteria is located on the land of the Kaurna indigenous people in Australia and is a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Milanese dairy store. Designed by Studio Gram, this space is not only a simple restaurant or bar, but also a multi-functional social place that integrates work and leisure, and connects community memories with modern urban life. The design inspiration comes from the classic Italian Latterias. By integrating a bar, a restaurant and a deli, a distinctive yet approachable community center is created.

In the design, Studio Gram meticulously integrates traditional and modern elements, closely echoing the concepts of space and site as well as the philosophy of food. The original concrete floor and inclined walls were retained, forming a sharp contrast with polished chrome metal, colored leather and warm wood elements, achieving a delicate balance between coldness and warmth, ruggedness and refinement. Specially customized yellow ~ Painted glass captures natural light during the day and projects a soft glow. At night, the embedded lighting system brings a warm and dramatic golden glow to the space, enhancing the sense of place and the recognition of the block.

The island bar counter is located in the center of the space, balancing operational efficiency and social atmosphere. The double-sided display backboard design, combined with the carefully arranged lighting, not only highlights the wine display but also creates a visual focal point with a sense of layering. Four independent cocktail areas equipped with hidden doors have optimized the circulation design, making the service smooth and efficient. Custom-made joinery products and integrated audio systems are unified against a warm-toned wood background, enhancing spatial continuity and auditory experience.

The spatial planning takes into account diverse seating needs. From sitting alone to small gatherings, a suitable atmosphere can be achieved. The overall material selection is durability oriented, and the introduction of high ceilings and the maximization of natural light reflects the focus on sustainable design. Latteria reinterprets the spirit of Italian dairy stores with its rich material language, light and shadow application, and functional layout, allowing traditional memories to continue and rejuvenate in contemporary urban life.

Just as Latteria masterfully blends Milanese tradition with contemporary Australian design, our Lenno Premium Delicate Floral Print Pillow Covers bring that same harmony of old-world charm and modern elegance to your home. Inspired by Studio Gram’s balance of rugged concrete and warm woods, each Lenno cover pairs intricate vintage florals with luxe linen textures—perfect for creating a space that feels both timeless and fresh.

Like the golden glow of Latteria’s custom glass, these pillow covers catch the light to transform any room into a cozy yet refined retreat. Whether styled solo for a quiet moment or mixed for gatherings (just like Latteria’s versatile seating!), they’re designed to endure and enchant.
